A new school for Charlie (#326)

We have found a new school for Charlie.

It is a public school autism program. It is based on ABA, the teaching methodology that is the basis for Charlie’s learning.

It is not in the town that we live in.

It is in the town my in-laws live in.

We have started the move into their basement.

Yes, big changes are ahead.

Hi, I always enjoy reading your message. It is great that Charlie found new aba based school. Singapore has few schools for autistic and I am on 12 motnhs waiting list for my 4 1/2 year old boy. I wish Singapore education system would be as good as US for special needs kids.

  2. Thanks for your kind wishes. Is it a private school or a public school that you are trying to get your son into? (Pardon my ignorance for how your education system works.)

Some autism schools in the US have waiting lists that stretch beyond 12 months.

Holy moly! So glad Charlie will have a school suitable for him but hope Mom will still have her internet connection in the basement! 😉

I admire your strength and determination to provide Charlie with what he needs. I find myself thinking of Charlie and your family when we have to make big decisions that affect our family for Gabe. I wish you all the best.

Good on you. I’m glad you’ve found something that looks right for Charlie. What will you do about your jobs?

    Good luck for the move!

    Good News!!!!

I am sure Charlie will adjust to the move. At least he is familar with his grandparents home. Once he has all his favorite things in place he’ll make it his home I am sure. Best of luck!!!
